Royal Observatory, Greenwich

The Royal Observatory in Greenwich played a major role in the history of astronomy and navigation. The Prime Meridian, a geographical coordinate line with a zero (0) longitude, divides the world’s eastern and western hemispheres. Every point on earth is measured by it’s distance to this line.
The Prime Meridian passes through the Royal Observatory and the time measure is Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Also known as Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), GMT sets all world time zones.
Tower of London

Founded in 1066, The Tower of London is a historical castle and an UNESCO World Heritage site. Its one the most popular tourist attractions in London and used previously as a royal residence and prison.
In history, whoever controlled the Tower, had control of the country. The Tower is now home to the priceless Crown Jewels and is a major tourist drawcard.
Big Ben

Big Ben or the Great bells, is located in the north end of the Palace of Westminster in central London. It’s a popular tourist attraction and a highly recognised English icon.
