Independence Palace
Address: 106 Nguyen Du St., Dist. 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
The Independence Palace also known as the Reunification Palace was the Vietnamese President’s workplace and home during the Vietnam war. Walking through the palace is like going back in time.
Inside the Independence Palace it has 1970s era décor with most of the original furniture. My favourite room was the underground war bunker.
War Remnants Museum
Address: 28 Vo Van Tan, Ward 6, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
The War Remnants Museum contains exhibits from the Vietnam War. The museum has a number of themed rooms and features a collection of Vietnam war relics. It’s quite likely you will feel a little sombre as you walk through the rooms.
Outside the museum, there is war equipment including tanks, aircraft and artillery. If you are interested in learning more about the Vietnam War, this place is a must!
