“The Smart Travelista’s Guide : Turn travel plans into memories with ChatGPT” penned by author Linda King is a unique read. In this book, the author explains what ChatGPT is and how we can get the best out of it. Linda has shared a few ChatGPT prompts that we can use to get travel inspiration ideas.

ChatGPT prompts to book flights would be of great help. I am definitely gonna use them next time whenever I book a flight for me or a family member. One can use ChatGPT to their advantage for accommodation, protecting their health, money and budgeting, etc.

I’m not used to ChatGPT much but with the great prompts shared by Linda in this book, I will use it more often. With ChatGPT, we can save so much of our time when we plan our travel. I loved the Travel tips chapter the most.

The writing style of the author is nice. The author has done fantastic work in this book. It encourages us to travel, use ChatGPT in our travel planning, etc. The narration is smooth and a delight to read. Looking forward to getting my hands on the other books in the series.”

Traveling to faraway places can lead to all sorts of experiences. But one thing is for certain – you will have some interesting stories to tell. Absolute Chaos is the third installment in Linda King’s Antics from Abroad series. In this book, Linda shares her experiences of traveling to some of the most unusual places in the world. At a Middle Eastern outlet mall, Linda met American expat May, who told her of the time a security guard at the airport kept her watch, expecting a bribe. A drunk Australian acts injured to get a wheelchair at the Phuket International Airport. A visit to the famous over-water bungalows in Bora Bora has unexpected consequences. Linda had an encounter with gangsters in a sleepy Austrian town. She barely avoided physical violence after a face-off with a kangaroo, and more stories.

Travel enthusiasts will find a lot to love about Antics from Abroad: Absolute Chaos. This is a collection of fascinating true stories with a crucial lesson for travelers – when you travel to a place you’ve never been before, expect the unexpected. Author Linda King shares a few helpful insights and tips for fellow travelers, drawing from lessons she learned from her own experiences after visiting some of the most sought-after travel destinations around the world. Linda’s stories show how much a person’s experiences can vary from place to place, meeting new people and soaking up cultures so foreign to one’s own. Funny and shocking in equal measure, this book is a must-read for travel fanatics. I thoroughly enjoyed it and heartily recommend it to fellow travel aficionados.

The Smart Travelista’s Guide – How to protect your travel health & safety

The Smart Travelista's Guide - How to protect your travel health & safety
Book review

The Smart Travelista’s Guide by Linda King aims to educate women on the basics of traveling safely. It covers various aspects of maintaining one’s health and safety while traveling. She provides a reliable resource to find out if the reader’s destination of choice lies within a developing or developed country. This is a sensible place to start since the problems that a tourist is likely to encounter in developed and developing countries are somewhat different. She writes about the importance of travel insurance and the institutions that need to be informed before undertaking overseas travel. While writing about health issues, she covers topics as diverse as vaccinations, jet lag, and protection from food and water-borne infections. Similarly, when discussing the topic of safety, she writes about ways to protect one’s cash and cards, safe places to withdraw money, and red flag signs that could alert one to a thief.

King has traveled widely and the information in The Smart Travelista’s Guide is extremely practical. For example, most people know the risk of food and water-borne illnesses in developing countries. King warns readers of the hidden ways by which contaminated water can be inadvertently ingested. She has first-hand experience with the methods used by pickpockets and she educates readers about this menace.

On the subject of personal safety, one of my favorite pieces of advice from the book is that if one needs to consult a map, one should never do it out in the open. This is exactly the kind of precaution that may not come to one’s mind until it is too late. The book is packed with such tiny nuggets of wisdom which can keep the reader out of trouble. Though the book is directed at women travelers, the tips are useful for anyone who is a bit of a novice when it comes to traveling. The book is written in simple language and all would-be tourists will benefit greatly from the suggestions mentioned within it.
